A textile plant manufacturing tarpaulins, covers and heavy technical fabrics made from weather-resistant materials, offered for investment at the former military housing complex on the Damascus–Kafraya road in Homs Governorate.
What this means for a rebuilding company: technical textiles are consumed by construction sites themselves — covers for materials and plant, sheeting for scaffolding and working faces, and covers for haulage. Entry starts with an on-site inspection of whatever production equipment is in place, identifying the parts and maintenance required, then securing supply of yarn, base fabric and coating layers. The route to market follows: direct sales to contractors, hauliers and storage operators rather than reliance on retail trade. The plot is too small to carry heavy industrial expansion, but it is sufficient for a specialised production line with an attached warehouse.
